Inflammation is a very common ailment worldwide, varying from simple burns to post operation inflammation; it affects a lot of people every day. The enzyme is found in the intestines of a silkworm, which is used to break the cocoon, hard as it may be. Serrapeptase is usually given to arthritis patients to help reduce the stiffness and pains in joints. When absorbed through the blood stream and it starts distributing to all parts of the body, it reduces pains in the joints by preventing the release of pain inducing amines. It also works in the same way to reduce pain in all other parts of the body.

It also prevents the growth of bradykinins, which are compounds that attach themselves to areas of inflammation. By preventing the growth of these compounds, it helps reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain thus it is used for alleviating many such ailment as nose infection, ear infection, throat infections, and post surgery treatments.

Serrapeptase can also be used in the treatment of fibrocystic breast disease. The enzyme breaks down the cysts and digests it, helping to cure the disease.  Study has shown that the women who took the enzyme to have been cured of breast pain, breast swelling, and improved breast firmness

This ‘miracle enzyme’ as is sometimes called, helps in clearing blocked arteries, thus helping to establish a normal blood flow and preventing diseases that like heart attack and stroke, which could have ended tragically. Serrapeptase breaks down and dissolves the plaque clogging the blood cells effectively without harming the artery walls.

Another trick up this wonderful enzyme’s sleeves is its healing quality towards sinusitis. The enzyme thickens the mucus in the nasal cavity and secreted at a go, which avoids mucus from being secreted frequently.

The enzyme has a whole lot of other benefits to our health, which miraculously comes with no side effect, so this enzyme is indeed a wonderful breakthrough to the medical world.
